A Walk Down Memory Lane
A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE
24x30” oil/cold wax on canvas. As you can tell from my prior work, I’m a big fan of cool palettes. With this piece I tried to break from that which is comfortable to me and try my hand at a warm color scheme.
As with most of my work, A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE is comprised of a bunch of layers to create depth, and movement and detail etched into the
surface of the wax. The result is a matte finish that warms the room it’s in.
A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE reminds me of my younger self who wore a lot of warm colors, liked the heat, and liked the summer break that came with it.
That ship has sailed - now if it’s above 90° I’m staying inside at the easel!
